The Paris 2024 Organizing Committee has been experiencing success with ticket sales for the upcoming Paralympic Games, which are set to take place from August 28 to September 8. According to OCOG Director General Etienne Thobois, over 1.3 million tickets have already been sold for the Paralympic Games. This surge in ticket sales can be attributed to the momentum generated by the successful Olympic Games, with daily ticket sales for the Paralympics now five times higher than before the Olympics.

Prior to the start of the Olympic Games, the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee had only sold 1 million out of the 2.8 million available tickets. However, with the boost in sales for the Paralympic Games, the organizers are optimistic about reaching their ticket sales targets. The example of London in 2012, where 40% of Paralympic tickets were sold before the start of the Olympics, serves as a reference point for Paris 2024.

To further promote the Paralympic Games, the organizing committee launched a campaign featuring para athletes such as Arnaud Assoumani, Pauline Déroulède, and Gaël Rivière, with the slogan “I’m not lacking anything except you.” This campaign aims to showcase the incredible talents and abilities of para athletes and attract more spectators to the Paralympic Games.

With the success of the Olympic Games setting the stage for the Paralympics, the organizers are hopeful that the enthusiasm for sports and athletic performances will continue to drive ticket sales. By following the example of London and implementing effective promotional campaigns, Paris 2024 aims to create a memorable and inclusive experience for both athletes and spectators during the Paralympic Games.
