Kidderminster Harriers kicked off their new season with a strong 2-1 victory against Darlington. Despite being relegated last season, Phil Brown’s team started off on the right foot at Blackwell Meadows.

Amari Morgan Smith scored a fantastic header in the first half, giving the visitors an early lead. Debutant Maz Kouhyar doubled Harriers’ advantage with a well-placed finish late in the game. Darlington’s Will Hatfield managed to pull one back with a beautiful free kick, but Kidderminster’s solid defense held strong for the win.

Speaking after the match, Brown praised the quality of all three goals and emphasized the importance of starting the season with three points and a strong performance.

The first half belonged to Harriers, with Morgan-Smith and Kouhyar impressing with their goals. Despite Darlington’s late efforts, Kidderminster’s defense, led by Reiss McNally, held firm to secure the victory.
