Yazzmin Devoy, a 26-year-old professional singer from Penketh, has been a lifelong fan of Dolly Parton. She started singing professionally after lockdown and now performs her tribute act ‘Modern Dolly’ in addition to singing at weddings and private parties. Yazzmin adds a comedic flair to her Dolly persona and channels her inner idol on stage.

Her love for Dolly Parton began at a young age, as she recalls dressing up as Dolly at age three and being inspired by her fun personality, talent, and strong morals. Yazzmin has performed at various venues across the country but holds a special place in her heart for the Forget-me-not Café at the Oaks Centre in Penketh, where she volunteers to perform for those living with dementia.

Yazzmin recently made a splash at an Asda in Westbrook when she showed up dressed as Dolly Parton to purchase bottles of Dolly’s new Prosecco. Her confidence and charisma shone through as she interacted with shoppers and store workers in her Dolly accent, spreading joy and laughter wherever she went.

Looking ahead, Yazzmin dreams of meeting Dolly Parton or watching her perform live. She and her partner plan to visit Dollywood next year, a trip she is eagerly anticipating. Yazzmin’s passion for music and performing shines through in her dedication to her tribute act and her desire to bring happiness to others through her performances.
