Jacob and Danielle Lovatt, parents from Warrington, have recently released their first children’s book inspired by their walks through Woolston Park. The book, titled Simon’s Breakfast Adventure, features characters based on the wildlife found in the park.

The idea for the book came to Jacob as a new year’s resolution challenge. He would take walks through Woolston Park during his lunch break and draw inspiration from the animals he saw. This led to the creation of Simon the Stickleback, the main character in the story who goes on a quest for breakfast but encounters some challenges along the way.

The Lovatt family wanted to create a book that was not only fun and engaging but also educational. They incorporated elements like interaction, repetition, alliteration, and rhyming to help children improve their learning and development. Additionally, the story provides an opportunity for adults to explain the realities of nature to children.

Despite the challenges of balancing writing the book with raising their young children, Jacob and Danielle felt that the effort was worthwhile. They believe that they have created something that their children will cherish forever. The book was self-published using Amazon’s KDP platform and is currently only available for purchase on Amazon.

Looking to the future, the Lovatts hope to expand the distribution of the book to other platforms and potentially sell it at local Maker’s Markets in Warrington. They are excited about the possibility of sharing their book with a wider audience and are considering different avenues to reach more readers.

If you’re interested in purchasing a copy of Simon’s Breakfast Adventure, you can find it on Amazon. The book promises a fun and exciting story that children can enjoy while also learning about the wonders of nature.
