Welcome to Behind the Lens, a special feature that highlights the talented photographers in our Warrington Guardian Camera Club group. Today, we are chatting with Pamela Robinson, a Warrington native residing in Croft, who discovered her passion for photography after retiring. Always the one behind the camera during family gatherings, Pamela found joy in capturing special moments through her lens.
Pamela’s photography journey began as a way to explore a new hobby post-retirement. She was drawn to the artistic side of photography, especially in getting up close to nature to create beautiful and creative shots. Whether it’s a well-planned group photo or a spontaneous shot, Pamela aims to capture moments that bring a smile to people’s faces and preserve memories for a lifetime.
One of Pamela’s favorite photography spots is her own village of Croft, where she enjoys capturing the beauty of everyday life. She also finds inspiration at Dunham Massey National Trust, with its stunning gardens and majestic deer park providing endless opportunities for photography.
When it comes to subject matter, Pamela has a soft spot for botanical photography. She is particularly fond of capturing intricate details of wildflowers and the vibrant life in her garden through super macro shots. Each picture tells a story and showcases the beauty of nature in a unique way.
Being part of the Camera Club on Facebook has been a rewarding experience for Pamela. She appreciates the opportunity to see fellow members’ photos, learn about different photography techniques, and draw inspiration from their work. The group dynamic and supportive environment have motivated her to continue honing her skills and seeking that perfect shot.
If Pamela could photograph anything in the world, she would choose Monet’s garden in Giverny, France. Inspired by the artist’s work, she dreams of capturing the serene beauty of the garden that once inspired the famous painter. It’s a bucket list item that she hopes to fulfill one day, adding another chapter to her photography journey.
Photography is not just a hobby for Pamela; it’s a way to express creativity, connect with nature, and share moments of joy with others. Through her lens, she captures the world in a unique light, inviting viewers to see the beauty that surrounds us every day. As she continues to explore new locations, subjects, and techniques, Pamela’s passion for photography shines through in every photograph she takes.
