I recently visited the Primark store in Liverpool’s city center to check out the new collaboration collection with Kem Cetinay. This collection, aimed at men, features a range of relaxed designs including crew-neck t-shirts, joggers, shacks, and loungewear co-ords. As I browsed through the items, I came across an £18 quarter-zipped jumper that initially caught my eye, but upon closer inspection, I noticed it was bobbled, making me question its quality.

One particular item that stood out to me was a grey neck zip-through sweatshirt paired with matching bottoms. While it was a nice set, it didn’t offer anything new or groundbreaking, so I decided to pass on it. Moving on to the accessories section, I was on the lookout for a new black work bag. I found one that seemed practical and minimalistic, but upon trying it on, I realized the straps were too tight and uncomfortable, leaving no room for even a thin t-shirt.

What surprised me the most was that the bags, along with some clothing items, were covered in dust. This, combined with the lack of attention to detail in the design and the fit issues, made me question the overall quality of the collection. It seems like Primark may have missed the mark with this collaboration once again, as the items I saw didn’t seem worth the money, even at their affordable prices.

Overall, my experience with the Kem Cetinay x Primark collection left me unimpressed. While there were a few pieces that caught my eye initially, the issues with quality, fit, and dust accumulation made me think twice about making a purchase. It’s important for budget-friendly brands like Primark to maintain a certain level of quality and attention to detail, even with collaboration collections, in order to keep customers coming back for more.
