Sean and Kylie Coleman were overjoyed when they learned they were expecting a baby, but their happiness turned into heartbreak when they lost two babies due to a rare condition called bicornuate uterus. This condition led to premature labor, resulting in the loss of their second and third babies. Despite the devastating losses, the couple found support and solace from a Liverpool charity called Honeysuckle.

Sean and Kylie met 16 years ago while working at Alton Towers and soon welcomed their first daughter, Alisha, who is now 14 years old. However, complications arose during Kylie’s pregnancy with their second daughter, Harper, who was born prematurely at 24 weeks. Harper had to undergo multiple surgeries but unfortunately passed away shortly before Christmas. The couple was devastated but found comfort in the support provided by Honeysuckle.

The charity helped the Colemans with funeral arrangements, offered emotional support, and provided keepsakes and memory boxes to honor their lost children. Sean mentioned that the Honeysuckle team played a crucial role in helping them navigate through their grief and come to terms with their losses. The drop-in sessions organized by the charity allowed them to connect with other parents who were also dealing with similar experiences.

Despite the tragic losses, the Colemans decided to try for another child and were blessed with a son named Rory. However, complications arose once again, leading to the loss of their second baby due to an infection. Throughout these challenging times, the Honeysuckle charity remained a source of strength and support for the family.

Sean expressed his gratitude towards the charity and mentioned that being part of Honeysuckle has helped them cope with the grief, especially during difficult milestones such as birthdays and anniversaries. To give back to the organization that supported them during their darkest days, Sean has been actively involved in fundraising events in honor of Harper and Rory.

In an effort to raise awareness and funds for the Honeysuckle charity, Sean and Kylie will be embarking on a 50-mile walk from their home in Staffordshire to Liverpool Women’s Hospital. This challenging journey symbolizes their resilience and determination to support other families facing similar hardships. The couple hopes to complete the walk within 18 hours, starting at 4 am in the morning.

Their fundraising efforts not only help the charity but also serve as a way for Sean to cope with his grief and honor the memory of his lost children. The Colemans’ story is a testament to the power of resilience, love, and community support in the face of unimaginable loss. Through their journey, they have found strength in each other and in the unwavering support of the Honeysuckle charity.
