Indulging in a luxurious spa experience is a fantastic way to treat yourself and unwind, especially on special occasions like birthdays. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the award-winning Carden Park Hotel and Spa in Cheshire, which has been named Spa Hotel of the Year in the AA awards. The hotel itself is a grand mock Tudor building situated in a sprawling country estate, offering stunning views of the parkland. However, the real highlight of our visit was the standalone spa, which opened in 2020 after a £10m investment. This luxurious venue has attracted celebrities like Coronation Street stars and even Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Upon arriving at the spa, my family and I were greeted with robes, towels, and flip-flops in the changing rooms before heading out to the spa garden. The outdoor area was equipped with hot tubs, loungers, and thermal pods, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the serene atmosphere. We opted for the twilight spa experience, envisioning ourselves relaxing in a hot tub while watching the sunset on the horizon. The experience did not disappoint as we sipped on complimentary sparkling wine from the Bollinger champagne bar.
We explored the various facilities at the spa, from the outdoor vitality pool with massage jets to the indoor hydrotherapy pool, saunas, and steam rooms. While the intense heat of the Finnish sauna was not for me, I found solace in the aroma steam room where the sweet-smelling steam enveloped me. As the night fell, we returned to the hot tubs and watched the sky transform into a beautiful array of colors as the sun set. Despite a few light showers, the experience was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable.
As the spa session came to an end, I savored every moment until the very last second, reluctant to leave the tranquil oasis. Although my skin may have resembled a prune by the end of the evening, the rejuvenating experience was worth every minute, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. The Carden Park Hotel and Spa truly offers a luxurious retreat with stunning sunset views, making it a favorite among celebrities and spa enthusiasts alike.
