Lymm Christmas Eve Carol Service: A Festive Tradition Returns

Lymm is abuzz with excitement as the live Christmas Eve ‘Carols from the Cross’ event is set to make a grand comeback in the village centre on December 24. The much-anticipated event, organized by the Lymm Parish Council, promises an evening filled with heartwarming carols, festive songs, and live musical accompaniment.

Festive Schedule

The festivities will commence at 6.30pm with enchanting performances by local schools, setting the perfect tone for the evening. At 7pm, the air will be filled with the melodic sounds of traditional carols, creating a magical atmosphere for all attendees to enjoy.

Special Guests

Local dignitaries, including Lymm’s Town Crier, AJ Powell, and Reverend Beverley Jameson from St Mary’s Parish Church, will grace the event with their presence. The renowned Warrington Brass Band will make a triumphant return this year, adding a touch of musical brilliance to the carols. Helen Elliott from Smiley Tunes will lead the singing, ensuring that everyone joins in the festive spirit.

Road Closures and Accessibility

For those planning to attend the event, it’s essential to note the three phases of road closures on Christmas Eve. These closures are necessary to accommodate the larger stage for the brass band while ensuring the safety of all attendees. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the evening, with diversions in place to guide visitors.

Stay Connected

If you are unable to join the festivities in person, fret not! MIX 56, in partnership with the Lymm Parish Council, will broadcast the event live for everyone to enjoy from the comfort of their homes. Special thanks to the event’s sponsors, E. Smith & Son and Sextons Village Bakery, for their generous support in making this festive tradition possible.

As the countdown to Christmas Eve begins, the anticipation for the ‘Carols from the Cross’ event in Lymm continues to grow. Whether you’re singing along to the carols in the village centre or tuning in to the live broadcast, the spirit of Christmas will undoubtedly be in the air. Don’t miss out on this magical evening of music, joy, and community celebration!
