In a heartwarming display of holiday spirit, the Specsavers Warrington Home Visits team embarked on a mission to bring joy to their customers during the festive season. These dedicated opticians, known for providing eye and ear checks at home for individuals facing illness or disability, made it their goal to spread Christmas cheer far and wide.
Bringing Christmas Goodies to Customers
During the month of December, the team set out on a special journey to deliver Christmas cards and cake slices to their valued customers across the north west. Jonathan Fullalove, the customer service director at Specsavers Warrington Home Visits, explained the motivation behind this thoughtful gesture. He shared, “We sent our staff out with 250 Christmas cake slabs and cards to give our customers a nice little Christmas gift. As part of our service, we visit private homes and care homes, so we had to get creative with the way to say thanks to our customers for their support over the year.”
Spreading Joy and Making a Difference
The team carefully selected random customers to receive the delightful cake slices, while also generously donating nine-inch cakes to care homes for their coffee mornings. Mr. Fullalove emphasized the importance of these gestures, stating, “Christmas can be a really isolating time, and I love giving out presents and brightening a person’s day. Even small gestures and showing your appreciation can make a difference, and we will always try our best to do that.”
A Touching Moment of Gratitude

Mr. Fullalove recounted a touching interaction, saying, “A very teary-eyed next of kin called us up following a visit to her mum. She shared how her mum was able to read with the magnifier we’d supplied for the first time in a while, and how our gesture had changed her quality of life. Most importantly, her mother enjoyed our Christmas cake, too.”
