Winner of Christmas Card Competition Crowned by Warrington South MP
Warrington South MP Sarah Hall has announced the winner of her annual Christmas card design contest, showcasing the creativity and talent of young artists in the town. The winning design, created by Broomfield’s Junior School year three pupil Georgia, will be featured on all of Sarah Hall’s Christmas cards this year.
The Winning Design
Sarah Hall visited the Broomfield’s Junior School to present Georgia with a certificate, her prize, and the official Christmas card featuring her artwork. Georgia’s design beautifully captures Warrington’s iconic Golden Gates surrounded by glittery Christmas trees and snowflakes, adding a festive touch to the holiday season.
Runners-Up and Prizes
In addition to Georgia’s winning design, two runners-up were also announced: Jerosh from Year five at St Alban’s Catholic Primary School and Ellie from Year two at Evelyn Street Primary School. The runners-up will receive special Christmas prizes, including family tickets to Gulliver’s World, a Warrington Wolves home game, or a visit to Woodlands Alpaca Farm.
Ms. Hall’s Appreciation
Ms. Hall expressed her gratitude to all the children who participated in the competition, highlighting the incredible talent and creativity displayed in the hundreds of entries received. She commended Georgina for capturing the spirit of the season in her design and congratulated the two runners-up for their hard work.
Ms. Hall also thanked the prize sponsors, Gulliver’s World, Warrington Wolves, and Woodlands Alpaca Farm, for their generosity in supporting the competition and providing prizes for the winners.
The Christmas card featuring the winning designs will be sent to various recipients, including the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, schools, churches, and organizations across Warrington South. This competition not only celebrates the artistic abilities of the town’s young artists but also spreads festive cheer throughout the community.
