Troy Weaver’s time as the Pistons’ leader didn’t go as planned, but he left Trajan Langdon with a good amount of salary cap space to work with this summer. Langdon decided to focus on bringing in veteran players on short-term deals to help the team become more competitive and support Cade Cunningham, the team’s star player.

The most notable transaction was signing Tobias Harris to a two-year, $52MM deal. While Harris may not have lived up to expectations with the Sixers, he is a solid starter who can contribute consistently. Langdon also acquired Tim Hardaway Jr. from Dallas in a trade and signed Malik Beasley and re-signed Simone Fontecchio to bolster the team’s perimeter shooting and overall professionalism.

In addition to the player transactions, the Pistons made a coaching change by hiring J.B. Bickerstaff to replace Monty Williams. This move was seen as a fresh start for the organization, and Bickerstaff is eager to make an impact after his time with the Cavaliers.

With some cap space still available, Langdon may make more moves before the start of the season. The team also drafted Ron Holland with the fifth overall pick, a move that some experts questioned but could pay off if Holland continues to develop his offensive game.

Now, the question is: How do you feel about the Pistons’ offseason moves? Do you think they should have been more aggressive in acquiring assets, or do you agree with Langdon’s approach of adding veteran players on short contracts? Share your thoughts in the comments below. We want to hear from you.
