In the upcoming episodes of EastEnders, Reiss Colwell finds himself in a web of lies as Sonia Fowler starts to uncover the truth about his disturbing actions. Reiss had suffocated his comatose wife, Debbie, in order to claim on her life insurance to clear his debts. Meanwhile, Sonia, who is pregnant with Reiss’s baby, remains unaware of his dark secret as they used Debbie’s money for IVF treatment.
Reiss took Debbie’s engagement ring and proposed to Sonia with it, pretending he had been mugged while getting it resized. Little did Sonia know that he had actually sold the ring to Eve Unwin, who then used it to propose to Suki Panesar. Sonia was left clueless about the whole situation, thinking her ring had been stolen.
However, Sonia eventually comes face to face with Eve and Suki, realizing that Suki is wearing her ring, which actually belonged to Debbie. Eve covers for Reiss by saying she bought the ring from a pawn shop. As Sonia starts to investigate further, Reiss is backed into a corner. Will he finally come clean about his lies, especially the fake mugging?
To make matters worse for Reiss, Phil Mitchell demands that he pays up from his ‘investment’ scheme by Monday, putting even more pressure on him. As Reiss struggles to keep up with his lies, it’s only a matter of time before his heinous act of murdering Debbie is exposed.
