Pete Townshend, the guitarist and co-founder of The Who, recently shared some personal insights in a new interview. He revealed that he was “very sexually attracted” to Mick Jagger, the frontman of The Rolling Stones. Townshend, who has previously identified as pansexual, spoke candidly about his past experiences with same-sex relationships.

In an interview with Record Collector magazine, Townshend mentioned that he had “a couple of homosexual affairs” in the past and enjoyed them. However, he also acknowledged that it wasn’t what worked for him sexually and didn’t fit into his life. He reflected on his attraction to Jagger and admitted that there were possibly other people in his life to whom he felt sexually drawn.

Interestingly, Townshend publicly defended Jagger’s physical attributes back in 2012 after Keith Richards made comments about the size of Jagger’s penis. Townshend described Jagger’s penis as “huge and extremely tasty” and expressed his admiration for the singer in his autobiography.

Moreover, Townshend also mentioned Kit Lambert, The Who’s co-manager, as another man he was attracted to. Lambert, who died from heroin addiction, was someone Townshend believed to be gay or bisexual. Townshend admitted that he may have had secret sexual feelings for Lambert, but those feelings were not expressed.

On a different note, Townshend discussed the possibility of The Who creating another album in the future. He mentioned that there are some challenges to overcome before the band can move forward with new music.

Overall, Townshend’s revelations in the interview provide a glimpse into his personal life and experiences, shedding light on his sexuality and relationships with other men in the music industry. It’s clear that his openness and honesty about his past have sparked discussions and reflections on his journey as a musician and individual.
