Cheshire Police received a call about travellers arriving at a business premises in Gemini. The unauthorized caravan encampment consisted of two caravans and associated towing vehicles that had set up camp without permission at Gemini Trade Park. This incident was recorded in the unauthorised encampment log for Cheshire and Warrington, managed by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team confirmed that the group had arrived at the site on Monday. Due to the land being privately owned, police were called to attend to the situation. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred, as there was a similar unpermitted encampment outside a business in Risley earlier in the week.

At Anixer UK Ltd in Risley, two caravans and towing vehicles had set up camp in the car park, but they have since left the location. Additionally, over the weekend, two caravans and towing vehicles were spotted on the car park of DFS, located on Vernon Street off Riverside Retail Park near the town center. However, they have also left the area.

Unauthorized caravan encampments can cause disruptions and concerns for businesses and local authorities. It is essential for proper protocols to be followed to address such incidents promptly and efficiently. The involvement of the police and local council in managing these situations is crucial to maintaining the safety and security of private properties and public spaces.

Business owners and property managers need to be vigilant and report any unauthorized encampments to the relevant authorities to ensure appropriate action is taken. By working together with law enforcement and local councils, communities can address these issues effectively and protect the rights of property owners while also respecting the needs of travellers.
