Race Routes and Road Closures

On the day of the festival, runners participating in the half marathon and 10k races will set off from Winmarleigh Street at 9 am. The routes will take participants along Wilson Patten Street, Mersey Street, Knutsford Road, Victoria Park, Black Bear Park, and the Trans Pennine Trail.

The 10k route will circle back near Ackers Road, while the half marathon route will pass through Stockton Heath and along Lumb Brook Road, eventually making its way back to the town center on Broad Lane.

With the influx of runners taking to the streets, several road closures will be in effect to ensure the safety of participants and spectators. The following roads will be closed at various times throughout the day:

Road Closure Schedule

– 7 am: Sankey Street and Winmarleigh Street will be closed until 1 pm.
– 8:30 am: Wilson Patten Street and Bridgefoot will be closed until 12:30 pm, and Mersey Street will be shut until 9:45 am.
– 8:45 am: Knutsford Road eastbound will be closed until 10 am, while westbound will be closed until 12:30 pm. Bridge Street, Rylands Street, and Suez Street will all be closed until 12:30 pm.
– 9 am: Wash Lane, Loushers Lane, Ackers Road, and Station Road will be closed until midday.
– 9:15 am: Grappenhall Lane will be closed until 11:15 am, while Lumb Brook Road, Witherwin Avenue, and New Lane will be closed until 11 am. Grappenhall Road and Chester Road will both be shut until 11:45 am.
– 9:20 am: Broad Lane and Church Lane will be closed until 11:30 am.
